Each year, around 2000 stray dogs are destroyed in the UK. They die afraid and alone - unclaimed strays, tossed aside like unwanted toys.

When a dog is picked up stray, local authority are legally obliged to keep the dog for just 7 days. Unless a rescue intervenes, dogs which remain unclaimed after this time are too often destroyed.

So if 2000 strays are destroyed each year in the UK
WHY are so many rescue organisations importing dogs from other countries
I truly sympathise with the problem they have finding homes for dogs in other countries
But shouldn't people worry about the 2000 destroyed here each year
Before adding to the problem by importing them
