 Narla

The little beauty was taken to a vets to be put to sleep for mouthing , Narla is just over 8 months old, black & tan short coat .
She is great with other dogs , has a good recall.
Unknown about cats .
Due to her mouthing , she will only be homed with older children .
She is entire so will need spaying when older.

A dog clearly with the wrong owner , she will make someone a super dog who will work and do some training.
Narla will be coming into rescue tomorrow ( 4th January )

Vaccinated , flead & microchipped.

For more details call Sue Gibbons on 01444 453302 11am-7pm ONLY

I know pts for mouthing !!

I took this young girl  out for a couple of walks today.
Yes she does mouth, but only seems to do this when you hold her collar.
It could be she's hand shy.
Once on a lead she's a different dog.
A bit of work and I'm sure she will be a super dog.

Went to see Narla today a cracking dog but does have food aggression and mouths a lot but never deserved to be pts , her new owner is not sure he has the experience to deal with these issues , but she is safe for now .

PTS for mouthing! Obviously humans who have no idea of any dog let alone GSD. My Zeus , got through teething quite well, as I gave her iced 'dummies' to chew on. She did mouth, all be it very gently, throughout her 15yrs on this planet. Usually when walking beside me, more for reassurance, or to show affection than anything else. She was just at the right height that when I patted her ears as we walked , she could return the affection by a quick , gentle hold .
So all it needs is someone to teach little Narla what is acceptable and what is not. Being a german shepherd she'll learn quickly.
Glad she is safe. Is the owner going to take classes?

The gentleman who took Narla feels she needs a more experienced owner .

Ideal home would be with another active dog with GSD experience.

Pam may I ask where she is? Maybe know someone interested. Which rescue is looking after her? When you say - ideal home with another active dog - does that mean she gets on well with other dogs (male and / or female).
Thanks

She is great with people & other dogs , male & female .

Narla has been returned to Vigil today in Guildford.
Her mouthing is bad ,but does it more for attention , also she has food aggression around her food bowl , so other dogs and people must be aware of this . Her previous owner didn't mention it .

Such a lovely dog with great potential, I personally think she would benefit with another dog.

Fingers crossed they will persevere - it will take time but she's worth it.
It would be great to get up dates on her progress.
