Dakota :glitter_love:
What an :angel GSD:
Took this sweetheart out for 2 walks yesterday. The second a group walk of 8 dogs ( with 8 handlers of course!)
She was really good with the other dogs. Though a bit shy if they are full on.
She is a bit strong on a lead, but she is still a pup so this can easily be overcome.
All in all first impression a really nice young girl :thumbs up:

Probably wouldn't eat a whole one :embarassed:
We haven't found a cat brave enough to come down to test her.

:rotflmao: :rotflmao:

I'm surprised Dakota is still waiting - cat tested or not. Thought she would have been snapped up by now......

Shame Vigil haven't got a nice, big, stooge cat to call on....

Hope Dakota is not waiting too long. She's only young and would love a home to call her own.

Dakota had been in foster with one of vigil's volunteers for the last couple of weeks.
But she has come back :so sad:
On the plus side, I got to take her out for a walk again yesterday :yay:
I wasn't going to take anyone on todays biggsd walk, but habits are hard to break :exclamation: :exclamation:
So I dropped by kennels this morning and picked up Dakota.
She was so good :angel GSD: you wont be surprised to learn she's come home with me and my hooligans for Christmas.
Needless to say she has already made herself at home on my sofas and bed.

Dakota has been with us for a few days.
For the most part things have been fine.
She did get put in her place on Sunday night.
Cher made it clear she wasn't allowed to sleep on my bed with me.
We met up with Amanda and her :minisgd2: :minisgd2: on Christmas morning for a 6 dog walk along the beach at Shoreham. Don't think she had seen the sea before, but seemed to enjoy the experience.
Today she joined us for the Boxing day biggsd walk. Her second group walk in a couple of day's.
Unfortunately I will be dropping her back to kennels tomorrow.
She is a very friendly girl with other dogs. She initially a bit shy with new people, but comes round within minutes. She does need a bit of training, but she is still a pup and don't they all.
Definitely got the making of a super dog.

From Dominic her foster dad

Only 11 months but she is shy but suffers from anxiety when left. She is better but will chew and pick up anything loose in the house. I have got her house trained but needs a home where someone is there most of the time. She is good with all other dogs and people if a little wary at first. She is playful and likes to mouth but sometimes doesn't appreciate her own strength. Recall improving but close by has a mind of her own. You have to trick her in coming indoors otherwise she will waste your time standing at the door but not coming in.

I can’t believe she’s still waiting, I wouldn’t hesitate if there was room at Chez Heambro! And it sounds like she’s a typical pup, with personality love2

Dakota will be coming back into rescue as she's being dominant around the smaller dog in the household.
