I haven't personally , I had a friend who said they were brilliant and another friend that found they were no help and she did return it to PAH .. Guess it depends on the problem ... I dont know whats special about them , so before you buy one try a kids t shirt , jumper , or a dog coat as its now winter it will have a use anyway .. Good luck |

I had a friend who's dog got terribly car sick when travelling (saliva shoe-strings galore the moment it got in the car). The thunderwrap which 'hugs' round the dog nice and tightly gives it a sensation of being comforted/hugged. It did resolve it's travel problems. I have also heard of people using for dogs who are scared of thunderstorms, fireworks etc. and they swear by them. I've not used one on my dogs but the feedback I've had from people I know has been positive. |

I know two people who absolutely swear by them. Both members on here. Hazel, (Astralhaze) and Karen (spirited1).. I am going to assess a sbt next week with such a fear of rain, they are considering pts. On the strength of what Karen and hazel have said, I shall be suggesting one for them, alongside the usual advice and Ill come on here and report my findings as this dog's fear is EXTREME. I'd give it a go. Pat x |

Lots of members on MyGermanShepherd swear by them - you can trawl through/search threads without having to join. But they're nice folks Not tried one myself, tho'. |

Thanks Guys it's just at the moment Leah's Sebatious Adenitis is quite bad and we're having dreadful unsettled nights with her,in the six years we've her she's never gone upstairs we don't mind but she hates stairs of any kind, now she makes her way up in the night but doesn't settle just wanders around seeking attention. Then trying to get her down is a fiasco, the stairs are steep and narrow(old house) so we have to put her lead on and get her down step by step. If I block the stairs off she'll sit at the bottom whining and I think stress makes her skin flair up.She's on the homeopathic remedy Borax which is for not liking downward motion also for skin and she's just about to go on more antibiotics for the bacteria she was only on them a couple of months ago, what with the weekly baths and daily applications of neem oil on the lumpy scabby bits perhaps she's just becoming a Diva and really wants 24hour attention. Sorry it's a bit long winded but I shall try a thunder wrap. |

Suzy, have you ever looked into Turmeric? I've joined a Facebook group called Turmeric User Group lately, my nan was diagnosed with osteoarthritis and I've had a bad back (aggravated by someone driving into me last week) for a while so we're both trying the golden paste. It's the curcumin in Turmeric that has great anti-inflammatory properties, and you make the paste with coconut oil which is also good for the skin. As Sebaceous Adenitis is an inflammation of the sebaceous glands, it may be worth a try https://www.facebook.com/groups/415313751866609/?fref=nf is the Facebook group I'm on http://www.turmericforhealth.com/turmeric-recipes/how-to-make-turmeric-paste-or-golden-paste is the recipe for the golden paste I would also suggest maybe looking into Melatonin as a supplement to help with the stress and sleeping pattern http://www.buzzle.com/articles/melatonin-side-effects-in-dogs.html Edited by pangolin, 27 Nov 2014, 10:13 PM.
