Spike, Staffie, DOB 02.03 – Godstone, Surrey![]() Homing Requirements: Spike needs his family ... NOW! He is an older Staffie who could live with children, another dog but not cats. He needs a secure garden and keen exit management as he had the habit of getting out of his last home. Travels well in the car though initially a little vocal. Video:Spike happy to watch Bow His Story: Spike was found stray and this time unclaimed. He initially shot out of his kennel given the chance but has now settled - perhaps he likes to go for walks! Spike is now neutered, chipped and vax'd. Advert: Spike is a wonderful example of the Stafford. He is all smiles and adores company. He loves to be out and about so don't please think he is retired ... he has got a lot of living ahead. He is an easy mixer but a little bit too interested in life for a cat's comfort. Housetrained and amenable with a bonus lick given with every encounter. Spike is a 10 year old Staffie according to his chip though you wouldn't guess. His name doesn't suit him and in fact he is very, very soft. His teeth are fine and his general health is good. A wonderful example of his breed and he would suit first time dog owner family. Please note that this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found. Please visit Spike’s thread on our forum: http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/sutra123695.php#123695 to find out if he is still available and for fuller details. ![]() If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire: https://rescueremedies.wufoo.com/forms/r7x3s5/ so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle. An update from Spike's fosterer: "We are loving finding out more of Spike's personality. This morning it was raining, he didn't realise until he went to the door leading into the garden. His response? A quick about turn to the sofa, rearranging a cover as shelter! Later he probably wanted cooling down after his walk - and twisted himself around to gain maximum impact from the fan! But sometimes he really gets the hump with us if we put his lead on then don't get going - usually turning his back on us. Spike really is such a good companion". Spike is still available for adoption. |
