I wanted to share with you my lovely new snow boots! If any of you are thinking about investing some money in a pair of boots which possibly you will only wear a few times a year (global warming and all) - may I recommend these

Although I have never fallen over and broken anything - I felt, especially with Lola, it was only a matter of time before an ill timed lunge and a bit of frozen pavement coincided.
Walking now - with or without Lola - in the park or on the frozen side streets with these wonderful boots is heaven. These ones are waterproof, very warm (only need to wear a pair of pop socks with them) and they have these hinged rubber things on the sole and heels that can be opened up and have spikes - which is fantastic for really bad ice and snow.
Ive NOT got shares in the company! they are just a great buy and make walking in these treacherous conditions so easy.
They are not cheap (£75) but neither is a broken leg!

Wow they look lovely I got myself some Dr Marten boots and a set of snow grips for walking in the ice.

Your boots work out cheaper than mine and they have the grips/spikes already built in. Great idea. :thumbs up:

Thanks for sharing will keep them in mind when I need replacements

Quite like the look of these - and like the spikes in them. Unfortunately, they only start at size 37 (I'm somewhere between a 35 and 36 depending on make) and reading the reviews it would seem that the sizes are generous so probably too big for me.
